About the role

Real work, shaped around you

Our Supported Work Program creates real, paid roles alongside our team. It's not a work-experience placement or a token task - it's a genuine job, built around what you're good at and what you enjoy.

We work alongside you at every step, at your own pace. Over time, many participants take on more responsibility and build toward more independent employment.

This role is delivered through our Supported Work Program. Your wages are paid by the business. Your support on shift is funded through your NDIS plan. They're two separate things.

What you'll do

  • Real tasks that keep ESports Collective running, like front-of-house and welcoming people in
  • Setting up gaming stations, consoles and tech for sessions and events
  • Supporting sessions, tournaments and community events
  • Building routine, work skills and confidence, matched to your interests

Skills you'll build

  • Being punctual and following the routine of a shift
  • Serving customers and welcoming people in
  • Using workplace systems like the till and booking screens
  • Setting up tech and equipment to a standard
  • Working as part of a team
  • Taking feedback and building on it

Before you apply

The essentials

  • Type: Paid supported employment.
  • Pay: Paid at award rates under the Supported Employment Services Award. You usually start at 30% productivity, and a productivity assessment is done 3 months into the role.
  • Where: ESports Collective - 58 Macleod Street, Bairnsdale
  • Checks: A valid Working with Children Check is required - we help you arrange it.
  • Getting started: Just get in touch - we build the role around the person.

Party and Event Crew

For NDIS participants · Paid supported employment · Fridays and Saturdays

You'll set up the venue for birthday parties and private events, keep things running on the day, and reset the space afterwards. Delivered through our Supported Work Program, with your wages paid by the business and your support on shift funded through your NDIS plan.

Host our free Magic The Gathering session on Mondays. Welcome people in, sell drinks and snacks, show new players how the game works, and pull up a chair when someone needs an opponent. Your wages are paid by the business, and your support on shift is funded through your NDIS plan.

Venue Reset

You'll get the whole venue ready before our NDIS and Community Programs, tidying desks, cleaning up, emptying bins and checking the stock.

Help capture what happens at ESports Collective, with no customer faces on camera. You'll take photos and short clips, sort them into the right folders and suggest ideas for posts.

Tech Care

Keep every PC, console and sim rig updated, clean and ready to play. One shift a week, done before the venue opens, with support built in. Real paid work for NDIS participants who like tech and getting the details right.

Competition Host

For NDIS participants · Paid supported employment · Friday nights or Saturdays from 6pm

Pick the game you love and bring like minded people together to play it, right here in Bairnsdale. A league every week, or a tournament each month or quarter, that's yours to decide. We'll support you on shift while you build it.

Play the games you love with the people who come in, and help new players find their feet. No events to run and no brackets to manage, just a relaxed shift focused on playing.

Our staff use the business cars every week to get participants out into the community. This job keeps those cars clean, fuelled and ready to go. One 2 to 3 hour shift a week, paid, with support built in.
