Sim Racing in Bairnsdale
Full racing rigs, from $15
Sink into a racing seat, grip the wheel and feel every corner. Our sim racing rigs are ready from 3pm Monday to Friday and from 12pm on Saturday at ESports Collective on Macleod Street - book a rig ahead so it's waiting for you, or drop in and see if one's free.
The closest thing to the track without leaving town
Sim racing is racing on a proper driving setup instead of a controller. You sit in a racing seat with a steering wheel in front of you, pedals under your feet and a gear shifter at your side, looking out over a wide curved screen. You brake, turn in and power out of corners the way a real driver would.
Our rigs are set up side by side, so you can take on the computer, chase your own best lap or race a mate in the next seat. There's a lot to learn - braking points, racing lines, keeping it on the track in the wet - and it's hard to stop at one more lap.
No licence, no helmet, no experience needed - just a seat and a wheel.
How much is sim racing, and when can I come?
Half an hour on a rig is $15 - plenty of time for a few races or a proper crack at a lap time.
A full hour is $22, so you've got time to learn a track, try different cars and really settle in.
Rigs are available from 3pm Monday to Friday and from 12pm on Saturday, the same hours as casual gaming.
At our purpose-built hub at 58 Macleod Street, Bairnsdale, in the heart of East Gippsland.
No account needed to book a rig
You can book a sim racing rig online with just your name and email, and pay online so it's ready when you arrive. You're also welcome to drop in and pay at the desk - but there are only so many seats, so booking is the way to make sure you get one.
Never driven a sim before? No problem!
You don't need to know anything about cars or racing games to have a go.
Ask the team to help you get comfortable, pick a car and a track, and get out on the road. Everyone spins out on their first corner.
Book rigs next to each other and race side by side. It's a great way to settle who's actually the better driver.
Already know your racing line? Come back week after week and keep shaving time off your personal best.
Sim racing at parties and tournaments
The sim racers are part of every birthday party and private event at the hub, alongside our gaming PCs and consoles - so the racing fans in your group can take turns behind the wheel.
Our rigs are also used for competition. Keep an eye on our gaming tournaments for events to test your lap times against other drivers.
