About the role

Real work, shaped around you

Our Supported Work Program creates real, paid roles alongside our team. It's not a work-experience placement or a token task - it's a genuine job, built around what you're good at and what you enjoy.

The game is why people come along. The walk is your job. Before you head out, you plan the route and the stops, and you check everyone's phone is charged. On the walk you set the pace, count heads at every stop, and keep an eye on the roads and the time. Newer players will need a hand to catch, spin stops and join a raid.

This is a brand new walk, so you're helping start it from scratch. Part of the job is getting the word out and building up a regular group who come back week after week.

That means you'll play less than everyone else. You're the one watching the group, and that's what makes it a job and not just a walk. It's group leading, the same work a tour guide, camp leader or holiday program leader does.

It's also the only Supported Work role that happens out in town, not inside the venue. You'll be crossing roads, finding your way, saying hello to other players you meet at a stop, and dealing with whatever the weather does. Your Support Worker is with you the whole way.

We work alongside you at every step, at your own pace. Over time, many participants take on more responsibility and build toward more independent employment.

This role is delivered through our Supported Work Program. Your wages are paid by the business. Your support on shift is funded through your NDIS plan. They're two separate things.
