Content Helper
For NDIS participants · Paid supported employment · Tue to Fri or Saturdays
Genuine paid work, with support built in - for NDIS participants who are ready to build work skills, routine and confidence in a place they already know and love.
This one is for people who like cameras, screens and finding a clever angle. You help show what ESports Collective is like without showing anyone's face.
Real work, shaped around you
Our Supported Work Program creates real, paid roles alongside our team. It's not a work-experience placement or a token task - it's a genuine job, built around what you're good at and what you enjoy.
As the Content Helper, you gather and organise the photos, clips and ideas we use on social media and the website. Customers never appear on camera, so a big part of the job is being creative: hands on controllers, a screen at a big moment, a flat lay of a new game, the venue set up for a party. Staff can appear in a shot when they're happy to.
You don't post anything. All posting stays with the business. You collect the material, check it's safe to use, sort it so it's easy to find, and help draft short captions for review.
We'll also share how we plan our social media, so you can pick up ideas you could use in another business. For some people, this role is a first step before running something of their own, maybe a supported micro enterprise.
We work alongside you at every step, at your own pace. Over time, many participants take on more responsibility and build toward more independent employment.
This role is delivered through our Supported Work Program. Your wages are paid by the business. Your support on shift is funded through your NDIS plan. They're two separate things.
What you'll do, the skills you'll build, and who we're looking for
What you'll do
- Take photos and short video of the action without showing customer faces, like hands on controllers, dice and chess pieces, screens mid-match, over-the-shoulder and point-of-view shots
- Shoot flat lays of new games, snacks and card packs, close-ups of details like the sim rigs, a dice tower or painted minis, and the venue empty or set up for a party
- Film short clips of staff when they're happy to be on camera, like staff picks, game tips or a "what's on this week" video
- Check every shot before you save it, so no customer faces, reflections or name tags are visible
- Delete blurry shots and any shot where a customer could be identified
- Upload photos to the right Drive folder, sorted by date and session, and note what each photo or clip shows
- Suggest post ideas, draft short captions for review, and help fill in social media templates with approved photos and text
Skills you'll build
- Photo and video basics, and getting a shot to standard
- Problem solving to show the action without showing faces
- Using workplace systems like shared Drive folders and templates
- Following the routine for checking and saving each shot
- Writing short, clear captions
- Staying on task through a session
- Taking feedback and building on it
Who we're looking for
- NDIS participants looking for a supported step into employment
- People who like taking photos or video, or want to practise it
- People who enjoy finding a creative way around a rule, like showing the game without showing the player
- Careful with privacy, happy to check a shot twice before saving it
- No résumé or interview needed to start the conversation
